To record your first transaction in Extrack, open Home, tap the amber floating + button (bottom-right), pick the Expense kind, type an amount, pick the Cash account (which is pre-created for new workspaces), and tap Create. The row appears on Transactions and the account balance updates instantly. Skip categories and people for the first row — you can edit later.

Steps

  1. Open the New transaction modal

Tap the amber + button bottom-right on Home, Transactions or People. Modal title reads "New transaction".

  2. Expense is selected by default

Three kind buttons at the top: Expense / Income / Transfer. Expense is the default.

  3. Type an amount and pick Cash

New workspaces have Cash and Mutual Funds pre-created. Use Cash for the first row — fastest path.

  4. Tap Create

Create button is at the bottom of the modal. The row posts; account balance updates.

  5. See it on Transactions

Open the Transactions tab. Your row is at the top.

Frequently asked

I want to use my real bank, not Cash.

Add the bank from the Accounts page first (see "Set up your accounts"). Then the new-transaction picker will list it.

What if I picked the wrong kind?

Open the row from Transactions, tap Edit (pencil) and switch the kind. Or Delete (trash) and recreate.
