The Automation inbox in Extrack (page heading: "Automation inbox", route `/transaction-drafts`) is the staging area for AI-generated drafts. Drafts created by Claude (or any MCP client) appear here pending review. Each draft shows the parsed amount, account, suggested category and people. Tap "Add to ledger" to promote to the real ledger, or "Discard" to drop.
What you see on each draft
- Title (truncated text).
- Amount (formatted, amber).
- Date hint (when the draft suggests an `occurredOn`).
- "Paid from:" account name (when an `accountId` is set).
- "Source:" reference (which client/chat created the draft).
- Suggested categories and people — resolved on-device against your directory.
Frequently asked
Can I edit a draft before promoting?
Yes — open the draft, tweak fields, then "Add to ledger".
I see "Automation inbox unavailable" — why?
Your plan does not include the automationInbox capability. The unavailable card body reads: "Your workspace doesn't include the automation inbox capability (MCP / staged drafts). Contact your administrator if you need access." Upgrade to VIP (or use the 30-day trial) to enable.
