How to create a recurring template

Tap "New recurring", fill the regular fields plus a frequency.

To create a recurring template in Extrack, open the Recurring page and tap "New recurring". Fill the regular transaction fields (kind, amount, accounts, category, people) and pick a frequency: Daily, Weekly, Every 2 weeks, Monthly, Quarterly or Yearly. Save. The template generates "Due" occurrences on schedule. Use Approve on each due row to post; Reject to skip a single occurrence.

Steps

  1. Open Recurring and tap "New recurring"

    Top-right button. Opens the form.

  2. Fill the transaction details

    Kind (Expense / Income / Transfer), amount, accounts, category, people — same as a regular row.

  3. Pick a frequency

    Six choices: Daily, Weekly, Every 2 weeks, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly.

  4. Save

    Template is live. Each occurrence surfaces under "Due (ready to approve)" when its date arrives.

Frequently asked

Can recurring templates auto-post without approval?

Not currently. Approval is explicit — protects against template drift (e.g. salary changed and the template still has the old amount).

Can I create a recurring template from an existing transaction?

Yes — when the row qualifies, a "Convert to recurring template" action appears next to Edit on the Transactions row. One tap opens the recurring template form prefilled with the row's values.
