How to download a backup of your data
Profile → "Download backup file". Full JSON.

To export your data from Extrack, open Profile and find the portability section. Tap "Download backup file" — you get a single JSON with every account, transaction, category, person, budget, recurring template, planned item and setting. Restore on another device by importing the same file via "Restore from backup".
Steps
Open Profile and find Portability
The card is titled "Download backup file" with a corresponding "Restore from backup" beside it.
Tap "Download backup file"
Generation takes a few seconds depending on workspace size.
Save the file somewhere safe
The download is plain JSON. Keep it in an encrypted location (e.g. encrypted iCloud Drive, password-manager attachment).

Is the backup file encrypted?
The transport is encrypted. The file on your disk is plain JSON for portability — keep it somewhere safe.
How often should I back up?
Monthly for casual use; weekly for heavy use. Backups are small — typically well under 1MB.
