People and lending in Extrack work like a built-in Splitwise. This section covers the directory, how balances are interpreted, per-person Lent receivable accounts under the hood, adding/renaming/removing people, settling balances via the "Settle split balances" prefilled draft, and how to reconcile a disagreement with a friend.

What is the People directory?
Directory of every tagged person. Shows Person / Transactions / Balance.
What a person balance means
Positive = owes you. Negative = you owe them. Zero = settled.
Per-person "Lent" receivable accounts
Auto-created Loan accounts named "{Name}'s Lent". Reachable via Accounts → Lent pill.
How to add a person to the directory
Tap "New person". One field — Name.
How to rename a person (and merge duplicates)
Edit person → change Name → save. Renaming to an existing name merges.
How to remove a person from the directory
Open the person, tap Remove from directory. Transactions stay attached.
How to settle a person's split balances
Tap "Settle split balances" on the person page. Prefilled transfer.
How to reconcile a balance with a friend
Open the activity feed together. Walk rows date-by-date.
